Freedom of the Seas was docked at Blohm und Voss in Hamburg, Germany on 17 April 2006 to repair a damaged bearing in one of the three Azipod propulsion units and to put on some of the finishing touches prior to its official handover to Royal Caribbean International on 24 April 2006. It then departed to Oslo, Norway on 25 April for official festivities. It then sailed for Southampton, England on 27 April and arrived at 9am on 29 April. The ship sailed on its first transatlantic crossing on 3 May 2006.

Queen Mary 2 is a post-panamax ship. As a result, the Queen Mary 2 must circumnavigate South America in order to cross between the Atlantic and Pacific. The decision not to constrain her size in order to transit the Panama Canal was taken as the Queen Elizabeth 2 only transited once a year, during the world cruise. Cunard decided to pass up the convenience of the occasional passage in favour of a larger passenger capacity.

I remember way back 15 years ago when I was working on board M/S Leisure World. Liesure World is Operated by Sembawang Ship Management in Singapore. There are lots of amenities and enjoyment. Las Vegas style of entertainment, Discotique, Casino, Karaoke bar, Cinema, massage parlor and also restaurants, entertainment games and passenger tour to the navigating bridge. The cruise ship M/S Liesure World that time is 30 years old but since it is made in Europe for me it is still like a five star hotel. Just Imagine these Eight ( 8 ) Amazing Largest Cruise Ship in the World can provide to its passengers on this present time. I hope I can command someday on one of this Cruise ship.
